ALTERNATIVE DRIED FRUITS
If you want
to achieve a sweet and tangy taste similar to apricots, here are a few other
dried fruits you can use:
1. **Dried
Pineapple**: Offers a sweet and tangy flavour that's quite refreshing.
2. **Dried
Mango**: Provides a tropical sweetness with a slight tang.
3. **Dried
Cherries**: These have a rich, tart flavour that pairs well with coconut.
4. **Dried
Figs**: Sweet and slightly tangy, with a unique texture.
5. **Dried apricots I use diced and dried apricots as it saves me chopping.
6. **Dried
Peaches**: Similar to apricots but often sweeter and juicier.
7. **Golden
Raisins**: Sweeter than regular raisins with a light tang.
These alternatives can be finely chopped and mixed into your base, providing a delicious balance of sweetness and tanginess. You can pulse quickly in the food processor to save time but you do not want your dried fruit to be too fine.
